Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration

Designed for working professionals interested in K-12 school-based and central office leadership positions, supervisory positions and increased responsibility in teaching, the Educational Leadership and Administration master’s program ensures its graduates will be ready to meet today's challenges of school reform, growing school enrollments and increasing retirements.

Our program is nationally accredited and recognized as a program of distinction by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). It's designed to develop intellectual leaders who understand curriculum and instruction, motivate and support classroom professionals and provide practical ideas necessary to lead vibrant educational communities.

Since 1904, GW's Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) has been recognized as a premiere research institution providing our students with the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to promote quality student achievement.

Our online program replicates the classroom experience where program faculty members who bring expertise to your virtual classroom are scholars, authors and experienced former principals, superintendents or state educational officers.
