Doctor of Nursing Practice in Family Nurse Practitioner (post-BSN opportunity)

An alternative to research-focused doctoral programs, our online DNP program offers post-BSN and post-MSN entry options. To advance professional nursing roles in clinical practice, policy, and leadership, we emphasize key nursing practice competencies and innovation. DNP FNPs practice independently and with other health professionals; this option prepares you for this responsibility. DNP FNPs are able to provide patient care in a variety of settings, including homes, hospitals, offices, industry, schools, community agencies, public and private clinics, and private practices.

Designed for working nurses, coursework is online so that you have flexibility. Interactive formats give you easy access to course materials, faculty, and classmates. Some courses have synchronous seminars to provide live time with faculty members and other students. You will have two to three on campus experiences so you can work alongside faculty and your classmates.

This specialty offers part-time and full-time options. Enrollment is in the fall semester.
