Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership (post-MSN opportunity)
An alternative to research-focused doctoral programs, our online DNP program offers post-BSN and post-MSN entry options. To advance professional nursing roles in clinical practice, policy, and leadership, we emphasize key nursing practice competencies and innovation. The core curriculum for this specialty is taught by the nursing faculty and you also have courses in the GW School of Business. Nurse executives must understand business, finance, entrepreneurship, and intrapreneurship (that is, creatively innovating within a system), and our faculty will prepare you for this challenge.
Designed for working nurses, coursework is online so that you have flexibility. Interactive formats give you easy access to course materials, faculty, and classmates. Some courses have synchronous seminars to provide live time with faculty members and other students.
This specialty has a part-time schedule. Enrollment is in the fall semester.
